Andre B. Lacy
Chairman of the Board

Under Andre's leadership, LDI grew from a corrugated box manufacturer to a diversified holding
company whose business units have earned the number one and number
two positions in their respective industries.
Andre began his career at LDI’s
predecessor company, U.S. Corrugated, as an office clerk during
summer breaks from school. After graduating from Denison University
in 1961, Andre took on increasingly more responsibility with the
company as an analyst, sales rep, plant manager, and regional
manager. Andre eventually earned the title of President and Chief
Executive Officer in 1983.
Ernst and Young named Andre “Indiana
Master Entrepreneur of the Year” in 1994. He serves on the boards
of National Bank of Indianapolis, Herff Jones, Inc., Patterson
Dental Company (NYSE-PDCO), National Association of Wholesale
Distributors and the Nature Conservancy of Indiana. Andre’s strong
commitment to central Indiana is reflected by his leadership roles
with the following organizations: Indianapolis Public Schools,
Indianapolis 500 Festival Association, United Way, Hudson Institute,
Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Community Leaders Allied for
Superior Schools (CLASS), Economic Club of Indianapolis, Central
Indiana Corporate Partnership, Indianapolis Downtown Inc., St.
Vincent Hospital Advisory Board and the Indianapolis Chamber of
Commerce. Andre is also active with Butler University’s newly
established Butler Business Accelerator.
Andre and his wife, Julia, have
three sons and eight grandchildren. He is a motorcycle enthusiast,
a pilot and enjoys outdoor adventure travel.
David N. Shane
President and Chief Executive
Officer

David serves as President, CEO and
board member of LDI, managing the daily operations of the holding
company and working with the leaders of the operating companies. David joined LDI in 1997 as Vice President and Corporate
Counsel, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the legal
field and a strong commitment to the city of Indianapolis.
A graduate of Wabash College in 1970
and Duke University School of Law in 1975, David spent 20 years with the law firm of Baker and Daniels.
In addition to law, David's other
passion has always been education. In 2005 and 2006,
David served as Indiana Governor Mitch Daniel’s Senior Policy
Advisor for Education and Employment, working in the areas of
workforce development, higher education and K-12 education. As a
member of the Indiana State Board of Education, he continues to
provide leadership to educational improvement efforts by advising
various initiatives involving K-12 education, higher education and
workforce and economic development.
David is an active community member
who holds civic leadership positions in several organizations.
In addition to his membership on the Indiana State Board of
Education, he serves on the board of the Central Indiana Corporate
Partnership, as a trustee of Wabash College, on the Board of Advisors for the Center of Inquiry and Liberal Arts,
the TechPoint Foundation, and education committees for both the
Indiana and the Indianapolis Chambers of Commerce.
David and his wife, Ann, have two
grown children. He is an avid reader.
Michael P. Hutson
Senior Vice President of Finance and
Chief Financial Officer

Mike joined LDI in 1996 as Corporate
Controller and was named Chief Financial Officer in 1998.
Mike began his career with Ernst and
Young after graduating from Butler University in 1982. In his ten
years at Ernst & Young, Mike progressed from staff accountant to
senior manager responsible for the overall management of audit
services for his clients. In 1992, Mike joined Freudenburg-NOK, a
manufacturer of precision rubber components for the automotive
industry. As Division Controller of the Rubber Products Division,
Mike was responsible for the financial management of the company’s
four Indiana plants. In 1995, Mike moved to Delco Remy America, a
manufacturer of automotive starting motors and generators. As
Director of Treasury, Tax and Financial Systems, Mike established
initial accounting and treasury operations following the company's
divestiture from General Motors though a leveraged buyout.
In addition to being a CPA, Mike has
an MBA from Butler University and is certified in Production and
Inventory Management by the American Production and Inventory
Control Society. He is also a member of Financial Executives
International (current board member and past President) and the
board of Horizon Christian Fellowship Inc.
Mike and his wife, Susan, have two
daughters. He enjoys running, cycling and other outdoor activities.
Margot L. Eccles
Vice President – Community and
Shareholder Relations

Margot
Lacy Eccles directs Community and Shareholder Relations for LDI and
is a member of the LDI Board of Directors. “Mrs. E” began her
career in 1951 as the switchboard operator for U.S. Corrugated. She
worked her way through a variety of positions and was promoted to
lead community relations for the firm in 1983. Mrs. E is the
granddaughter of the company's co-founder, Howard Lacy.
Mrs. E
attended Tufts University and is a graduate of the American Theater
Wing of New York City. She also pursued advanced studies in France
at the University of Paris (Sorbonne). Since 1976, Mrs. E has helped develop
one of the nation’s most outstanding executive leadership programs:
the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series (SKL). SKL raises
awareness of community issues and promotes a sense of community
stewardship through seminars, tours, reading, and interaction with
experts, leaders, and decision-makers. Young professionals selected
to participate in the program must have a sincere, demonstrated
interested in the welfare of the community as well as the potential
to influence positive change. (See

Mrs. E’s
personal commitment to central Indiana also can be seen in her
leadership roles as Chair of The Lacy Foundation and as a member of
the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee, Franklin College Board
of Trustees, Indiana Symphony Society, The Spirit & Place Advisory
Board at The Polis Center, and the Urban Design Oversight Committee. She is
Chair of the annual Indian Market & Festival at the Eiteljorg Museum
and is also a member of the
Heartland Film Festival Board of Governors, the Indiana Black Expo
Cultural Gala Committee and the Race Relations Leadership Network
Committee.
She created and
sponsors the annual "Young Playwrights in Process" program to
encourage students from 6th-12th grade to
write plays. Her prior leadership roles include affiliations
with United Way, Junior Achievement, Indianapolis Chamber of
Commerce, 500 Festival Associates, Indiana Repertory Theater,
Starlight Musicals, Indianapolis Parks Foundation, International
Center of Indianapolis and Indianapolis Downtown,. Inc.
Mrs. E
and her late husband, Robert, have one grown daughter. Mrs. E is an enthusiastic patron of the arts and
is often seen racing between meetings on her Segway in downtown Indy

Marc leads LDI’s acquisition
activities and joined LDI in 1996 as Director of Treasury and
Investments. He was promoted to Vice President – Investments and
Corporate Development in 1998. He has worked on numerous
transactions, including LDI’s purchase of a controlling interest in FinishMaster, a tender
offer for shares of a NASDAQ-traded competitor of FinishMaster and acquiring add-on
businesses for FinishMaster and Tucker Rocky. He also negotiated the sale of
Major Video Concepts and directed a successful operational restructuring and
sale of Answer Products in 2004.
Marc began his career at National
Westminster Bank in New York after graduating with a BA in Political
Economy from Williams College in 1981. Marc earned an
MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1986 and then
joined GE Capital’s Corporate Finance Group in Dallas – financing buyouts in the late 1980’s. Marc was recruited
in 1993 to join Lucas McPhee, a private equity advisory firm created
by partners from Bain & Company. In 1995, he joined an
early-stage manufacturer
of rapid prototypes as its Chief Financial Officer.
Marc and his wife, Janice, have
three children. He serves on the board of the Indianapolis Symphony
Orchestra Foundation, leads Boy Scout backpacking trips and enjoys
cycling, skiing and high altitude trekking.
Paula
K. Bachert
Vice
President - Strategic Planning and Market Development

Paula
Bachert joined LDI in 1998 as Vice President of Strategic Planning
and Market Development. She provides marketing and sales support
for Tucker Rocky and is currently an executive on loan to the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway helping to organize the inaugural “Red
Bull Indianapolis GP” - an international Grand Prix motorcycle race.
Paula
began her career as an Assistant Manager in Parts Marketing at
Cummins Engine Company after graduating from the University of
Illinois with a BS in Business Administration. After Cummins, Paula
returned to school for her MBA at the Kellogg School of Management
at Northwestern University. Paula
then joined Indiana Bell and held various positions in marketing,
finance, operations and strategic planning. She left Indiana Bell
to work with USA Group as Vice President of Strategic Planning
before ultimately joining LDI.
Paula has
two grown children. She serves on the Board of BehaviorCorp and also
likes to read, travel, garden and watch Illini sports.
Gary
M. Bilsland
Treasurer

Gary
Bilsland joined LDI in 1998 as Treasurer and is responsible for
LDI’s consolidated banking, cash management and risk management
services.
After
earning a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in finance, both
from Purdue University, he joined General Motors as an engineer.
Gary then transferred to General Motors’ EDS subsidiary where he
became a Financial Controller. He left EDS to join Anacomp, Inc. as
its Assistant Treasurer before joining LDI.
Gary and
his wife, Cathy, have two children. He enjoys cycling and
reading about science and military history. |
