Our
Company
LDI Ltd., LLC is a
private, family-owned company with holdings in value-added
distribution businesses. LDI’s predecessor company, U.S.
Corrugated-Fibre Box Company, was established by Howard Lacy and two
partners in 1912 and grew to become one of the largest manufacturers
of corrugated cardboard boxes in the U.S. LDI, originally
known as Lacy Diversified Industries, redeployed the proceeds from the
sale of U.S. Corrugated in 1984 into a series of investments in
other private companies, marketable securities and real estate.
During the last 30
years, LDI has focused its resources on long-term investments in
lower middle-market distribution companies. We do not depend on
outside investors. Because our funding has no expiration date, our
investment time horizon typically exceeds fifteen years while our
management teams are provided the resources to increase market share
and build value.
LDI is guided by
the fierce entrepreneurial spirit, high integrity and active involvement of its
founding family. Our management team’s extensive strategic and
operational experience helps our companies maximize their potential
with organic growth and accretive acquisitions. Through our
disciplined approach to investing and improving business processes,
we have developed a culture and track record of solid execution and
generating consistently superior returns over several decades.
LDI currently owns
two national distribution businesses, a portfolio of marketable
securities and an office building in downtown Indianapolis. One of
its two companies, Tucker Rocky, is based in Texas and is one of the
two largest distributors of motorcycle apparel, parts and
accessories to motorcycle dealerships in the U.S. The other
business, FinishMaster, is headquartered in Indianapolis and is the
largest distributor of aftermarket automotive paint in the U.S.
Tucker Rocky and FinishMaster employ over 2,500 people.
LDI’s small
corporate team works in Indianapolis, Indiana. |
