About LDI - Our HistoryCommunity Leadership Civic responsibility is a longstanding tradition of LDI and the Lacy family. We believe strongly in active involvement, contribution and leadership in our communities. From leadership development to education and the arts, company officers, employees and family members have quietly led and promoted some of the City’s most revered institutions including:
After the death of Stanley K. Lacy, the son of Howard Lacy and his wife Edna, the Lacy family formed the Stanley K. Lacy Foundation. From the foundation came one of the nation’s most successful leadership training programs. Under the strong direction of Edna B. Lacy and Margot Lacy Eccles, the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Program (SKL) has provided over 800 emerging leaders with the knowledge and skills to better serve the needs of their communities. The SKL program informs and motivates emerging leaders and raises their awareness of community issues and sense of community trusteeship through seminars, tours, reading and interaction with experts, leaders and decision makers. Most importantly, SKL develops, engages and mobilizes current and future leaders to encourage philanthropic involvement that helps our community thrive.
